Mona Lisa of Our Times
Eating Her Social Media Soup
What would have happened if Mona Lisa now, after roughly 500 years, had descended from the painting, alive – flesh and blood?
She would have found herself in a world so different to hers and so hectic, full of fast information that her extraordinary appearance would have soon become accepted as a commonplace of everyday life.
To remain popular and not to be forgotten, it wouldn’t have been enough to be painted by one famous artist, even though by Da Vinci himself. Perhaps, she would have needed to post new selfies every day and be omnipresent on all social media platforms – to share some daring pictures in bikini, from a holiday at the seaside, or with a fast car.
